| 2010 Show On Saturday 17th July 2010 at Rosslyn, Church Street Middle Rasen.By kind permission of Mrs.J.M.HeathRULES 1. Open to all Amateur Gardeners. 2.ENTRY FEE. 10p. Each exhibit, except for children's classes (free) or where otherwise stated. 3.LAST DATE ENTRIES to Mrs.Heath on Thursday15th July in the marquee between 7pm & 9pm. By this time all fees must be paid. This rule will be strictly enforced on floral arrangements. 4.TIME FOR STAGING. All exhibits must be staged by 12 noon prompt on the day of the show but may be staged on Friday evening if desired. 5. Produce not for sale must be removed immediately after presentation of Trophies Exhibitors responsible for removing their own exhibits. 6.PRIZES. If a special prize in any class is awarded this replaces normal prize money 7.Payment of prize money will be paid after the presentation of Cups & Trophies. Prize money not claimed will be deemed surrendered 8.No persons will be permitted into the marquee during time of judging except those authorised by the Committee. 9.THE JUDGE'S DECISION TO BE ACCEPTED AS FINAL. 10.The Judges & Committee shall have the power to reduce the number of prizes for the class if sufficient entries are not forthcoming, or if the standard is not sufficiently high. If any Competitor has a complaint this must be made in writing to the secretary within one hour of the opening of the show. 11.Any competitor winning the Hubbert Trophy, Green's Trophy, Produce Cup or Children's Cup for three successive years will be presented with a replica. 12.All cups & shields to be returned to Mrs.Heath one month previous to the Show. 13.All produce must have been grown by the exhibitor except for the Floral Arrangements lasses in Section D. Those violating this rule will forfeit all entry fees & prize money. The committee reserves the right to visit the garden of any competitor. 14. Class 23 will not be included in the Best Exhibit in Section A 15. Class 48 will not be included in the Best Exhibit in Section C ************************************************ Classes 63 – 66 are open to Middle Rasen residence & Middle Rasen Horticultural Society members only. Parsley is allowed for garnishing. Onion tops may be tied or whipped using raffia or string. Carrots & parsnips must have foliage trimmed back to 3". WINE RULES
The above classes will be Judged strictly to the rules listed below. 1. Wine's must be made from fresh produce. 2. Wine's must be exhibited in plain, clear glass punted bottles of approx 26 fluid ounce capacity. (Bordeaux or Sauternes Type) 3. Wine bottles should be filled so as to allow an airspace of ¼" to ¾" 4. Corks must be straight or flanged with white plastic tops. 5. All bottles must be labelled & dated. 6. Wine's entered in Classes 106 & 111 must state whether they are SWEET or DRY.
