LOFT INSULATION OFFERS

Information published on behalf of Lincolnshire Police
Today, 26/01/12,  3 persons were stop checked on the St.Giles Estate. They were working on behalf  of Home Heating Solutions Ltd, Chester-Le-Street, County Durham.  It was reported to police that they were claiming to be working on behalf and in conjunction with Lincoln City Council.  I have checked and this is not the case.  The persons are gaining entry into properties, asking for a drink of water before looking in the loft, they then carry out the hard sell which includes taking the occupants National Insurance number.  Can I urge all residents not to even contemplate buying services at the doorstep, do not allow anyone into your property and under no circumstances divulge your National Insurance Number or bank details to anyone.  If you are approached by these type of sellers please refuse to deal with them, call the police on 101 with descriptions and any vehicle details.

Thank you
