Kay Munday is started a new local running group " Rasen & District Runners". She is suspending the group because of low take up. We hope that this is a temporary situation. | It was the plan to meet twice a week at 7pm in Middle Rasen
Kay was open to ideas on club colours and hope to enlist local help in organising initial meetings and events schedule. She is unsure of how many active runners there are in the area but with a base number of say 10. Kay hoped that others would support the club and even if they are totally non competitive or not runners themselves, that they will still take part or contribute in other ways. |

Fancy losing a few pounds and getting fit in the process? You don't have to run for miles or at speed. Rasen & District Runners are ‘ runners' of all ages, size and ability, runners who race, runners who run for fitness and runners who are quite happy jogging along at their own pace having a chin wag with the others. Whether you want to run 1 mile or 10 come along an join us. “I'm too fat to run” – It doesn't matter how big you are. The whole purpose is that you get fitter as you gain confidence in your running. A lot of runners walk/run which means just that – you walk then you run and walk and run again at your own pace. Running is one of the best ways of losing weight by burning calories. You do not have to run on the road until you feel confident to do so.
“I can't run more than 20 paces” Everyone has to start somewhere. All runners started running from scratch. The club will give everyone a warm welcome and the opportunity to run together to improve health, fitness, confidence and safety. No one will get left behind so don't worry about being the slowest–it really doesn't matter how fast you are.
